Key Outcomes

This workshop helps non technical users use AI tools to analyse data, spot trends, and turn spreadsheets into clear, actionable business insights.
Key Outcomes
•    Ask better questions from data
•    Explore real business datasets with AI
•    Spot trends and anomalies quickly
•    Build simple dashboards and charts
•    Translate insights into clear decisions

What will you learn?

This module shifts your focus from “numbers for reporting” to “data for decisions.” You’ll learn how to ask better questions, recognise what kind of data you need, and avoid common misinterpretations.

  • What data analysis means in day?to?day business
  • Types of useful data: sales, customers, operations, marketing
  • Asking clear questions from your data (e.g., “What’s dropping?” or “What’s working?”)
  • Understanding basic concepts: trends, averages, outliers
  • Practical exercise: write 3–5 business questions you can test with data

By the end of this module, you’ll approach data as a tool for asking and answering specific questions, not just generating charts.

In this module, you’ll load sample datasets into beginner?friendly AI or no?code tools and start exploring them with natural?language prompts instead of complex formulas.

  • Preparing simple spreadsheets for analysis (cleaning and structuring)
  • Using AI to summarise data and highlight key metrics
  • Asks like “show me the top 10 customers” or “find the biggest drop in sales”
  • Spotting patterns, seasonality, and anomalies
  • Quick visualisations: tables, charts, and dashboards done visually

Now that you know how to explore and question data, you’re ready to connect it to concrete business decisions.

The final module focuses on turning your analysis into clear, simple outputs that can be shared with teams, managers, or stakeholders.

  • Creating short summaries and one?page insights reports
  • Deciding what to present and what to leave out
  • Building simple dashboards or slide?ready outputs with AI help
  • Avoiding misleading interpretations or over?confidence in small datasets
  • Setting up a repeatable workflow for weekly or monthly checks

By completing this module, you’ll walk away with a clear, no?code process for going from raw data to informed decisions you can actually use in your job or business
